Service Description
We wont teach you to become a therapist but what we teach you is to be able to gain an awareness of mental health and be able to signpost to others to seek help and support. Our courses aim to give you the skills and information required so that you can look after yourself and your mental health, promote positive well-being and raise awareness in the people around you. Courses Available: • Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 (4 hours) • First Aid for Youth Mental Health Level 2 (6 hours) • First Aid for Mental Health Level 2 (6 hours) • Supervising First Aid for Mental Health Level 3. (12 hours) The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted that there is a need to help those around us and the topic of mental health has been more apparent. But the reality is, mental health has been with us for as long as we have existed it. Our youth course is available to anyone working with children between the ages of 8-18yrs old. But it is also available to those children over the age of 14 yrs of age. Approximately 10% of our children have a mental health issue, that's around 3 in every class.
